Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Professor James Epoke, has bowed out of service in a carnival-like send-forth.
The UNICAL Don marked the milestone on Friday, 19th April 2024, after a meritorious service to the nation. The exercise coincided with his 70th birthday anniversary.
Professor Epoke pulled out from the College of Medical Sciences, in a convoy of academic and non-academic staff of the institution in a heartwarming display accompanied by the Senior Staff Club for Testimonials.
The former Vice Chancellor in the company of his wife had a happy and cheerful moment as the varsity staff, students, and well-wishers came out en mass to hail him.
Many describe the Professor of Virology as the VC who “put food on the table for many” and assisted students during his time as VC.
