The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has scheduled August 20, 2024 as date for the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This comes after the registration portal opened on July 22, 2024, and closed August 13, 2024.
To be eligible for the screening, candidates must have chosen UNICAL as their first-choice institution, scored at least 150 in the UTME examination, and have a minimum of five credits in their O’Level results, including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates are advised to log on to the university’s portal to check their Computer Based Test (CBT) examination center and print out their slip.
For more information, candidates are also advised to visit the university’s official website or contact the admission office for more information.
Meanwhile, the member representing Yala 1 Constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Brian Odey, has said arrangements have been made to settle fees for all his constituents preparing for the 2024 Post UTME examination.
Hon. Brain said the gesture is for the educational growth of his people. According to him, education has not been given the deserved attention as the bedrock of development in any society.
The lawmaker has equally promised to help facilitate admissions for eligible candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions in the 2024/2025 academic session.
The Assembly Committee Chairman on Public Accounts reemphasized the importance of education in the developmental process of children and the society.
He said over three hundred Yala 1 constituents who indicated interest in writing the 2024 UTME were given registration fees.
