The Cross River State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has promoted eleven police officers from Superintendents of Police (SPs) to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs).
The event, held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Conference Hall of the State Police Headquarters, Diamond Hill, Calabar, was graced by the Command’s management team, family members, and loved ones of the newly promoted officers.
During the decoration ceremony presided over by the Commissioner of Police, CP Gyogon Grimah, lauded the newly promoted officers, emphasizing the increased responsibility that comes with their new ranks.
He reminded them of the need for professionalism, dedication, and adherence to the ethical standards of the Nigeria Police Force as they carry out their duties. The Commissioner further encouraged them to lead by example, noting that their promotion is not just a reward for past performances, but also a call to higher service and commitment.
The climax of the event was the official decoration of the officers, with the Commissioner personally affixing the new CSP ranks on each of them. According to the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Irene Ugbo, the atmosphere was filled with joy and pride as family members and colleagues shared in the celebration of this significant career milestone.
In a vote of thanks, delivered on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Ini Johnson, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Akamkpa, expressed profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police and the entire Police Force for their trust and recognition. He pledged that the newly promoted officers would continue to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force and discharge their duties with utmost diligence and integrity.
High points of the ceremony were well-wishes to the newly promoted officers as they embarked on the next phase of their careers.
