There is a soon-to-be light at the end of the tunnel after about 7-8 years of darkness in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The State Electrification Agency (SEA) has commenced the rehabilitation and electrification of Bekwarra LGA, following directives from Governor Bassey Otu for the immediate restoration of light.

The Director General of SEA, Mr. Francis Ekpo, has mobilized a team of engineers to the site to commence work.

The initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for the communities by providing reliable electricity crucial for economic growth and development.

The government is seeking the support and collaboration of various communities in Bekwarra throughout the project.

DG of SEA emphasized that the engineers are dedicated to implementing the Governor’s directives and the SEA’s mandate, ensuring that every community in the state gains access to electricity.

As the work progresses, the SEA aims to foster community engagement and cooperation, recognizing that local support is essential for the successful execution of the electrification project.
