Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon. Elvert Ayambem in his New Year message to residents in the state, has called for compassion, hope and spirit of innovation in 2025.
He said the arrival of 2025 is an opportunity to reflect on the strides the state has made and the renewed collective commitment to progress, unity, and prosperity.
Ayambem disclosed that the State House of Assembly in 2024 enacted laws that are people-centric and focused on improving the lives of the common man.
According to him, “These legislative efforts were guided by our commitment to ensuring a better and brighter future for every Cross Riverian. I commend you for your resilience and contributions to building a stronger and more vibrant Cross River State.”
The Speaker, reaffirms the Assembly’s dedication to making laws that foster economic development and ensure justice, equity, and fairness for all. “Together, we will continue to work in harmony with the Executive and other stakeholders to bring lasting development to every corner of our dear state” he said.
He urges citizens to embrace hope, innovation, and compassion; encouraging every Cross Riverian to remain steadfast in the pursuit of excellence and to support one another in the spirit of community and solidarity.
“On behalf of the Cross River State House of Assembly, I wish you and your families a prosperous, peaceful, and fulfilling New Year. May 2025 bring us closer to realizing our shared vision of a thriving and united Cross River State.” Speaker Ayambem wished.
