CP Grimah Awarded For Good Policing, Crime Reduction In Cross River

The Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, CP Augustine Grimah, has been honored with an award for good policing and crime-free state.

Awarded by Kick Against Crime Initiative – Cornel Entertainment Media, a non-profit organization that supports and recognizes security agencies and crime fighters doing well within the country.

The award ceremony held in the Conference Hall of Police Mess, Moore Road, Calabar Municipal Local Government Area of the state, the organization said CP Grimah has performed gallantly in crime fighting in the state.

Presenting the award by the Chief Executive Officer of Cornel Entertainment Media, Ambassador Cornelius Ufofia, said it was not a think-twice option to award the 46th CP of Cross River State – CP Grimah.

In an acceptance speech, CP Grimah expressed gratitude for the award recognizing his contributions to the community. “I feel happy, just like any other person should be,” he stated, thanking the organizers for the honor. “An award is a stock-taking of what has happened in the past, but for me, it serves as a bell ringing, reminding me to do more.”

Grimah emphasized that the recognition should be seen as a collective achievement and dedication to his Management Team and personnel of the Force in the state.

“This is not an individual effort; it’s a collective effort from the constable to the lieutenant. Therefore, this award is for all.” He highlighted that the accolade serves to motivate the entire police force to strive for excellence as the new year begins.

Reflecting on the progress made in security over the past years, the State Police Boss, affirmed that improvements are evident and pledged that the police force would continue to enhance safety and security in Cross River State. “We have done well, but we must do better this year,” he expressed, urging all officers to remain vigilant and committed to their duties.

He enjoins officers of the Command to redouble their efforts, as no one should take their responsibilities lightly, particularly regarding their designated assignments.

The award is coming just a day after the CP was honored with an Award of Excellence for outstanding leadership and commitment to the security of the state.

Presented to him on Wednesday, 29th January 2025, by Mrs. Chidima Obiora, the representative of Security Boss Global Magazine/TV, in a ceremony held at his office, Police Headquarters Diamond Hills Calabar.

Similarly, CP Grimah in response, dedicated the award to God, officers and men of the Command, emphasizing that it’s a reflection of their collective spirit of teamwork and dedication to service.
