CRSHA In Crisis As Speaker Removes Chairman House Committee On Finance And Appropriation

Crisis is currently rocking the Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHA), as the Speaker of the Assembly Hon. Elvert Ayambem, has removed the Chairman of House Committee on Finance and Appropriation – Hon. Cyril Omini

Honorable Omini, a Member representing Yakurr 1 State Constituency was removed over alleged misconduct.

The Speaker appointed the Member representing Akamkpa 1 State Constituency, Hon. Okon Nyong Owuna as the new Chairman of the Committee.

Ayambem, announced the appointment during plenary, stating that the appointment will further strengthen the 10th Assembly in it’s Legislative functions.

Meanwhile an unverified source alleged that Hon. Cyril cloned Governor Bassey Otu’s voice using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to extort 1.6 billion Naira from a contractor in the state.

The source further alleged that the governor was embarrassed and furious and ordered his removal as chairman of the Finance committee and a full investigation into the alleged nefarious activity.

Efforts to reach Hon. Cyril Omini have not been successful, as he is said to be presently in China.
