The University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE) has celebrated its first matriculation ceremony, welcoming four thousand (4,000) new students across five faculties.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Patrick N. Asuquo, addressing the new matriculants at the ceremony held in the school campus, Akamkpa Local Government Area, on Wednesday June 11, 2025, urged them to pay close attention to their studies and prepare themselves to become machine-ready for the global world.
He emphasized the importance of equipping themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive, worthy in character and certificate.
Prof. Asuquo expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Education, Sen. Stephen Adi Odey, for his unwavering support in making UEE a success. He acknowledged the efforts of the governing council and the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Susan Etim, for their guidance and leadership.
The Vice Chancellor thanked the state governor, Sen. Bassey Otu, for the unique opportunity presented by the establishment of the innovative university.
The five faculties at UEE include, Faculty of Arts and Humanities Education, Faculty of Entrepreneurship Education, Faculty of Professional Education, Faculty of Social Science Education and Faculty of Science Education
Assoc. Prof. Beatrice Beyim, Director of Quality Assurance and Research, announced that the institution is currently accepting admissions for various programs, including IJMB, sandwich programs, and pre-degree courses. She encouraged prospective students to take advantage of these opportunities.
