In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nsa Gill, the Governor described the deputy governor’s birthday as a moment worthy of celebration, particularly in light of his unwavering commitment to the shared vision of the current administration.
“It is most auspicious to celebrate my deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, on his birthday,” the Governor was quoted as saying.
“For me and my family, we sincerely appreciate his immeasurable contributions and sacrifices to the government of the day.”
Governor Otu further praised his deputy as a “dependable ally, an epitome of humility, and a pillar in the defense of good governance and the ideals of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).” He noted that Odey’s principles and values are not only exemplary but also enduring.
He acknowledged Odey’s extensive legislative background, which he described as a valuable asset to the executive arm.
“He brings to the executive a rich legislative culture and has consistently offered sound advice to ensure synergy and avoid any friction between the arms of government,” the statement added.
“On behalf of the government and the good people of Cross River State, I say once again, Happy Birthday to my Deputy. God bless and keep you as we continue in this twin mandate with renewed wisdom, dedication, and focus in piloting the affairs of our dear state.”
