Cross River’s Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey says he is unhappy with the political developments in Ogoja Local Government Area after the Vice Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC, the party which he was elected on.
Mr. Odey was also elected on the platform of the APC and hails from Mbube, in Ogoja Local Government Area.
And, he took to Facebook to express his displeasure over the developments while suing for calm and unity.
“Not happy about the developments in my LGA,” he wrote.
“We will work to resolve all disagreements and have a united front. Sheath your sword!” Odey added.

Hon. Yakubu’s resignation was due to alleged marginalization and mistreatment by the council chairman, Hon. Chris Agbeh.
He cited being excluded from critical decision-making processes, refusal of the Chairman t refund personal expenses and loans including payment for nomination forms and office renovation. Also, he accused the Chairman of verbal abuse.
Despite his resignation, Mr. Yakubu, however expressed support for Governor Bassey Edet Otu’s administration and pledged to deliver electoral success for him, regardless of his party affiliation.
