Patrick Ineji Bags Professorship In Development And Political Communications

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially conferred the rank of Professor on Patrick Ukim Ineji, recognizing his outstanding contributions in Development and Political Communications.

The promotion was approved during the school’s Senate meeting at UNICROSS on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, elevating Professor Ineji from his previous position as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication.

Professor Ineji is the first scholar from Mbube East Ward 1 in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River to attain the academic rank of Professor.

He has served as Head of Department of Mass Communication, UNICROSS and also, as chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), UNICROSS branch, and among other positions.
