The outgoing Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, AIG Bello Rashid Afegbua, has been posted to Zone 6 Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Calabar.
AIG Afegbua was CP Cross River and Zone 6 covers Akwa Ibom and Cross River State Commands.
Cross River-born recently promoted AIG Bassey Samuel Ewa has been posted to Zone 15 Command, Maiduguri.
Zone 15 comprises Borno and Yobe State Commands. It was established in May 2020.
Similarly, AIG Akaniyene Ifebem Ezima has been redeployed to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC), Abuja.
AIG Akan Ezima was already in charge of the NPF-NCCC, Abuja.
At the same time, AIG Obono Nnaghe Itam has been redeployed as Commandant, Police Staff College, Jos.
AIG Obono is the second Cross Riverian to head there in 11 years.
Retired AIG Joseph Mbu was posted there in August 2015, resumed in October 2015 and retired in July 2016 after the appointment of a Junior officer, Ibrahim Idris as Inspector General of Police.
