The registration for the 2026 edition of the Queen of Humanity Nigeria Pageant is now open, with organisers inviting qualified young women across Nigeria to apply through the official portal, a statement by CrossRiverWatch shows.
Applications officially commenced on August 30th 2026 and will close on October 30th by 11:59PM.
Interested young women are to visit the official portal, http://www.queenofhumanitynigeria.org, and go through the requirements before applying.
The pageant, now in its fourth year, replaced the Miss Africa pageant which also replaced the Carnival Calabar Queen pageant.
This year’s edition is themed “The True Essence Of Humanity” and is designed to celebrate and empower young women who demonstrate leadership, compassion, confidence, and commitment to humanitarian service and community development.
Up to 10 million Naira in cash prizes is up for grabs.
Beyond Glamour: A Platform for Service
According to the organisers, the pageant goes beyond beauty and glamour. The initiative seeks to provide a platform for young women to showcase their talents, promote positive values, and champion social causes.
“Contestants will emerge as Humanity Champions, promoting positive social change and undertaking impactful humanitarian and community-based initiatives across Nigeria,” the statement read.
The pageant is a project of “Humanity Without Borders,” the pet project of the Wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Bishop Eyoanwan Edet Otu.
What Contestants Should Expect?
As part of activities leading to the grand finale, contestants will go through stages of assessment designed to test their confidence, communication skills, intelligence, creativity, personality and commitment to humanitarian values.
Organisers urged applicants to review eligibility requirements and guidelines carefully before submitting applications on the official portal.
Call for Sponsorship
The organisers also called on corporate organisations, government institutions, development partners, philanthropists and individuals to support the 2026 edition through sponsorship and strategic partnerships.
They noted that such support will help empower young women and strengthen initiatives that promote humanitarian service, leadership and community development across Cross River State and Nigeria.
