The Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Prof. Francisca Bassey and other staff are currently participating at the 4th Annual International Conference of the Department of Psychology, University of Cape Verde.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the International Association of Technology and Arts Teachers (IATATA).
The conference themed “Sustainability, Green Innovation and Education” will run from July 6 to July 9, 2026, and will bring together scholars, researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners from across the globe to deliberate on critical issues relating to sustainability, climate change, environmental education, policy development, governance, conservation, community engagement, and strategic partnerships.
The conference also seeks to promote green innovation and advance the Blue-Green Economy across Africa.
According to UNICROSS Media Team, the University’s presence at this prestigious international gathering reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening staff capacity, promoting cutting-edge research, fostering international academic partnerships, and expanding the global visibility and competitiveness of UNICROSS.
The UNICROSS delegation is led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Bassey whose administration has continued to prioritize opportunities that enhance professional development, research productivity and meaningful international engagement, positioning the University as a rapidly emerging center of academic excellence in Nigeria and beyond.
They are participating through sponsorship provided by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), made possible with the strong support and strategic commitment of the University’s Management.
Speaking on this development, Dr. Anthony Otiko, the University’s TETFund Desk Officer and one of the participants at the conference, expressed profound appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for her exemplary leadership, visionary support, and sustained commitment to creating opportunities for staff to participate in international academic engagements.
