The Cross River Southern Senatorial candidate for the 2027 general election, Prophetess Esther Archibong, has rolled out modalities to wrestle power from her opponents.
She made the affirmation while responding to questions from journalists in Calabar, the state capital.
Honourable Esther noted that though her quest is divine but she is moved by passion and empathy of her “neglected and grossly marginalized” district over the decades.
Contesting under the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDC), the Bakassi born averred that this is an opportunity that people can not trade for anything.
“Victory has come and the long awaited solution has arrived for Cross River South. We have been neglected and grossly marginalized but it is time for our people to come out.”
On what she will do differently compared to what her opponent is doing in the district, she said there is a lot to be achieved – empowering youths, men and women in every sector.
“My main core value is to make Cross River South an economic hub and I know I will do it. As for the people of Bakassi, my plan is to give them hope again. A lot has happened to us and nobody is speaking for us but by the special grace of God Almighty we have been given the opportunity to speak for our people and there will be a massive chance,” she said.
Speaking on the choice of her party, Prophetess Archibong noted that NDC is a party that God has brought as a rescue to every man.
“We are not voting mostly for the party, we are voting for those who need to be taken care of and every man and woman is tired of what is going on and we need a positive change and we need a solution to our problem and it has come.”
She disclosed that she is not moved by the threats and influence of her opponents, adding that she and the party have the capacity to match them toe-to-toe
“I am not afraid because power belongs to the people and the people have chosen that I should be there. We have the capacity in all to match oppositions.”
She charged electorates to hold the Holy Bible’s affirmation in Isaiah 60:1, as their light and liberation have come.
“To everyone that is from Cross River South, arise for your light is here”
