Members of Former Councilors and Appointees Forum Cross River State, FCAFCRS have yesterday barricaded the Peregrino House; the Cross River governor’s house while the State Executive Council, SEC was holding its weekly meeting.
Speaking to CrossRiverWatch on why the group decided to take the action, the coordinator, Hon. Agbor Kessy Nzan maintained that “We came here to cry to the father of the state, Senator Liyel Imoke that the money accrued to us since three months after we left government has not been paid, the money owed us is called severance”.
He revealed that “This is the second time we are coming here, we come in peace and our mission is friendly”.
He lamented that “It is unfortunate that the first time we came we didn’t meet him and we are here again meeting his absence”.
The protesters were seen holding placards bearing inscriptions that described how angry they are.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that the group was not attended to amidst the presence of heavily armed policemen.
