Facts are gradually beginning to emerge that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is almost sweeping the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Cross River State.

CrossRiverWatch reliably gathered that the ruling PDP in the state has clinched all the contested positions in the Central and Northern Senatorial District of the State though there is still a very strong protest from the people of Abi and Yakurr who alleged that Imoke doctored the actual results to reflect what he wants.

Information reaching our newsroom indicates that in the northern senatorial district, President Jonathan was given overwhelming votes; Hon. Rose Oko of PDP won in the Senatorial seat, Barrister Legor Idagbo won the seat for Obudu/Obanlikwu/Bekwarra Federal Constituency, while Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe was given the mandate to represent the people of Ogoja and Yala in the House of Representatives.

In the Central Senatorial district, CrossRiverWatch gathered that President Jonathan was equally overwhelmingly voted by the people of the area comprising six Local Government Areas, with Hon. John Owan Enoh of PDP winning the senatorial seat to replace senate leader, Victor Ndoma Egba in the upper chamber in the next senate.

In the Obubra/Etung Federal House, Mike Etaba won, Chris. Agibe for the Ikom/Boki Federal House, and the Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency slot rumored to have been won by Hon. Bassey Ewa, though there is still controversy over the result which the LP candidate, Chief Alex Egbona and his party are still hotly contesting.

The situation in the southern senatorial district is still clouded for the senatorial position, and the Akpabuyo/Calabar South/Bakassi Federal Constituency.

We however gathered that President Jonathan cleared the votes in the district for the presidential elections, while Hon. Etta Mbora and Hon. Daniel Asuquo were given a clean bill by the electorates of the areas for the Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency and the Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency respectively.

Meanwhile the people of the state are still awaiting the official announcement of the results from INEC in Cross River State.

May God bless our Governor for the good work he is doing. Our Governor is working .Pleas i will like to draw the attention of our able Governor to the communal dispute between ATAM & OFONOKPA in 1993 that resulted in many loss of lives and destruction of properties under the watch of then Governor Clement Ebri.No doubt, sometimes there is misunderstanding between brothers, sisters, community etc, but the ability for them to resolve and embrace peace matter a lot
astonishingly, OFONOKPA people’s case is different as they have been rendered homeless since 1993 till date.they have been deprive socially, politically, economically and total absence of belonging.I therefore appeal to the Governor to come to our aid because we don’t have any other place to go.
