Rep Legor Idagbo Facilitates Primary School Renovation In Obudu

In the old rugged sign post of the R.C.M Primary School in Okworogung, Utugwang, Obudu local government area, it is also indicated there that ‘knowledge is power.’
But it was also doubtful if there was any knowledge that could hand the pupils power from a dilapidated environment like what had become of the school.
Fortunately, the school is currently undergoing renovation courtesy of a partnership between the Cross River Basin Development Authority and the member representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra federal constituency in the green chambers of the National Assembly, Honorable Legor Idagbo.

A 6 cubicle toilet is also being constructed in the institution of basic learning which CrossRiverWatch gathered has suffered neglect for years.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that prior to the renovation, the school had become unfit for learning due to dilapidated structures with the decayed infrastructure posing a risk for the pupils and teachers.
Obudu is 300km north of Calabar, the Cross River State capital and is home to over 25 public primary schools with a majority facing challenges ranging from perimeter fencing to lack of basic infrastructure.
The Cross River State Government under the Senator Liyel Imoke led administration initiated a scheme to rehabilitate basic education institutions.

The first phase consisting over 100 primary schools was successful with intense politicking shadowing the second phase which never materialized till he exited office on May 29, 2015.
