CrossRiverWatch Launches iReport Platform, First Media Service Bot In Nigeria

The premier online news portal in Cross River State, CrossRiverWatch has launched the first comprehensive media service bot in Nigeria a statement from the publishers, CRWatch resources says.

The service bot which deployed the “trending: Telegram technology that allow users and its audience to “read, share, vote and report” is “one of the many changes expected to roll out within a couple of weeks to ensure that our readers stay informed about news, views, analysis and events concerning Cross River State and other aspects of human endeavors with a Cross River narrative,” read the statement signed by the publisher, Mr. Agba Jalingo and Editor, Mr. Charles Kalu, issued Wednesday in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

“The fast evolving technological space has led to dozens of inventions and platforms to better connect people created almost hourly and there is need for CrossRiverWatch to keep up with this pace to ensure that our esteemed readers get information from their favorite news portal with ease.

“This is the ideology that informed the creation of the CrossRiverWatch Telegram Bot which is the first all round media service bot in Nigeria with features that will allow the readers get updates from the site only a few seconds after an upload.

“The readers can also share their iReports by activating the command, vote on an online poll, request for headlines, subscribe, request for information among others on the Bot platform.

“The Bot is currently available only on Telegram and can be activated by searching for CrossRiverWatch Bot or subscribing by clicking on this link.

Other options being considered include a “text – to – web” protocol among others the statement added.

CrossRiverWatch which was launched in August 2012 has grown to become the leading source of information, news, views and analysis about information relating to and concerning Cross River State.

So far, the Android application was launched in 2017 and can be downloaded at downloaded here.
