The Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State on Public Affairs, Chief Tony Udiandeye has emphasized on the potential of the online media in Cross River State.
Chief Undiandeye made this assertion in an interview with CrossRiverWatch where he expressed his displeasure in the obvious gap between the State Government and online media organizations.
Speaking further, the SSA emphasized on the need for the State Government to “maintain constant relationship with various online platforms to avoid misinformation as well as to promote the progress of the Ayade administration.”
According to him, “We are supposed to do a regular interface with the media and I think that this is the beginning of it. We have seen the gap created and it has resulted in misinformation. It’s the reason why we are beginning with you. We know the potency of online journalism. We are going to scale up as the issues become reasonable.”
In conclusion, Mr. Tony enjoined Cross Riverians to be rest assured that the State Government’s policies and other relevant information will be made accessible to them more regularly.
