Inlaw to the immediate past President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan and Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade on Youth Affairs, Prince Godswill Edward, popularly known as Prince 7 has resigned his appointment.
The resignation was contained in a letter dated 23rd of July, 2018 and delivered at the Governor’s office on the 24th of July, 2018.
According to the notice, Mr. Edward’s intention to disengage from his appointment as the Special Adviser Youth Affairs is to enable him answer the call of his Constituency to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives (Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency), a position he is contesting for in the 2019 election.
The letter reads in part, “In obedience to popular clamor for me to serve my immediate Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, I have to humbly resign my appointment as Special Adviser effective from 24th July, 2018.”
Mr. Godswill Edward pledged his continuous support to the Governor whenever he is called upon and prayed for sustained guidance and blessings of the current administration.
In a related development, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Branding and Communication, Mr. Dornklaimz Enamhe, has also resigned his appointment to contest for the Obudu/Obanlikwu/Bekwarra federal constituency.
