Management of the Cross River State Institute of Technology and Managements, Ugep has lauded the Executive Governor of the State, Sen. Ben Ayade over recent release of another funds for the completion of some facilities in the institution, a gesture which the Rector referred to as timely.
Speaking at an event organised within the school premises, the Rector, Mr. Jeffery Kenyon Thompson, announced the release of the fund, which he says “will enable the institution finish the remaining projects which will accommodate additional 2, 500 students.”
Mr. Kenyon also added that completion of the facilities will help reduce the weight on existing facilities, while awaiting further accreditation.
“It will further relieve the existing facilities under pressure and make more room for the introduction and accreditation of more technological and innovative programs to bridge the technical manpower skill gap in Cross River state and beyond.” He said.
Mr. Thompson therefore applauded the “kind gesture” of the Governor, as he says, Ayade has “maintained unbroken focus and deadly commitment to the development of quality higher education in Cross River State.”
