The Cross River State First Lady, Bar. Mrs. Obioma Imoke has refuted reports that she is suffering pain in her bone marrow.
Crossriverwatch had earlier quoted a report by The National Enquirer which claimed that Mrs. Imoke “is dying of an infection caused by tapeworm ingested in her system by some Indian specialists 2 years ago during one of her adventures to cut her size”.
But in a reaction to our story, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of the State Mr. Christian Ita told crossriverwatch that “there are so many damaging rumours about the First Lady and that is not fair. She has never been to India. She is not ill. It is all politics. Madam is hale and hearty and will be at the stadium to watch the Nigeria verse Niger match taking place here in Calabar today”.
The Media Aide to the First Lady, Ms. Marilyn Omogbor later called back to also debunk the report saying it is “malicious and wicked and we are already considering a legal action. I will advice you not to be part of publishing those kinds of falsehood”.
Crossriverwatch can authoritatively report that the First Lady at exactly 5:12pm drove into the U.J. Isuene Stadium in company of the husband, Senator Liyel Imoke. The Governor and the wife were both gorgeously decked in green and white polos with the governor’s own bearing No. 7 while the wife wore No. 1.
Madam also had a beautiful pair of orange trainers on, a track trouser and a black hat to match the Governor’s own and a beautiful finger-like flower on her wrist to complete what was obviously an outing that portrayed a different picture from what was reported.
