A Cross Riverian, Reje Agbor Ojong has publicly denounced membership of a gang group in Ikom Local Government Area of the State.
Reje Ojong, a native of Adijinkpor in Ikom in a letter addressed to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Ikom division said he is no longer interested in being a member of the “Aro bagar” confraternity as he has turned a new leaf.

And, Mr. Ojong who said his moniker or bush name as it is referred to was ‘Aro Island Checkmate’ promised not to affiliate with the gang group as he has given his life to “Jesus Christ.”
He urged his former colleagues to leave him alone and urged law enforcement agencies to take note of his decision.
The undated letter which has been circulating on social media reads in full: “I Reje Agbor Ojong (Aro Island checkmate) a native of Adijinkpo No 11 in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State. Do hereby denounce myself from the membership of Aro bagar confraternity secret cult activities which I joined ignorantly.
“I state categorically that I will no longer have anything to do with the cult group, all members of the group should henceforth leave me alone as I have given my life to Jesus Christ.
“Law enforcement agencies have been accordingly notified, please.”
