Military Operatives Cordon Ogoja Junctions, Intensify Stop-And-Search

By Kanjal Godshield

A large number of military personnel have been deployed to different road junctions in Ogoja.

This may be unconnected to tomorrow’s Presidential and National Assembly general elections.

At the Ishibori T junction, our reporter observed that over five armed soldiers were seen stationed on both sides of the road while carrying vehicular stop and search.

Also at Abakpa garage junction, military personnel at the time of filing this report, were seen searching vehicles coming in and outside the town.

At the INEC office in Ogoja, an armored vehicle suspected to be owned by the Nigerian Army is seen stationed right opposite the Ogoja Area Command of the Nigerian Police
