The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has said the date of resumption has not been announced amid rumors of a resumption date.
A statement from the school’s Public Relations Unit described some information on social media as false, urging students and staff to be guided.
“The University of Calabar wishes to inform both Staff and Students that the 2024 Academic calendar will be formally presented after its approval by the Senate of the institution.
“The false information currently being circulated in the social media and attributed to Comrade James Ofem of Unical Forum News to the effect that the University will resume for 2024/2025, is false and not from the Management of the University of Calabar. All Students as well as Staff should be guided accordingly,” the statement read.
