JUST IN: UNICAL Inducts 11,640 Students At Its 47th Matriculation

The University of Calabar has officially welcomed eleven thousand, six hundred and forty (11,640) new students during a vibrant matriculation ceremony held today, Friday 6th, 2024, marking the start of their academic journey.

The 47th matriculation event was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Florence Obi, at the Abraham Odia sports stadium, Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.

The VC who addressed the incoming students emphasized the importance of adhering to the university’s rules and regulations, urging the new students to maintain discipline and avoid any disruptive behavior on campus.

In her remarks, Prof. Obi highlighted the necessity for students to fulfill all financial obligations, including school fees and departmental dues, to secure their status as bona fide members of the university.

The ceremony not only celebrated the formal induction of the 11,640 students into various faculties and departments but also signaled the beginning of a significant new chapter in their academic lives.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the students prepared to engage in their studies in the institution.
