The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, has axed his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gill Nsa and appoints Mr. Linus Obogo as his new image maker.
Mr. Linus Obogo will take over as the new Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
This is contained in a circular with Ref SSG/GSA/102/VOL.VI/191 signed and made available by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
The circular states that the decision aligns with Governor Otu’s administration commitment to strengthening its information machinery for effective and responsive communication.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nsa Gill has been appointed as Special Adviser on Public Affairs and is expected to deepen the “interface between the government and the public, ensuring clarity, engagement and transparency in policy communication,” the appointment specified.
The new appointments are with immediate effect.
