The member representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwara federal constituency in the 10th House of Representatives, Peter Akpanke, on Saturday, disclosed that he is now at peace having defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP wheere he was elected upon.
The federal lawmaker, who turns 43 today, stated at a rally to welcome Prince KJ Jedy-Agba and his supporters to the APC in Obudu where he told him he will have peace in the party too.
“I want to very specially welcome our brother, Prince KJ to APC, and I want to tell him that from today, he will have peace of mind. When I defected, I had peace of mind,” Akpanke said to chants of “the rock is solid” from some members of the crowd gathered at the Saint Coleman Primary School, Utugwang, Obudu, venue of the event.

Akpanke reminded party faithful gathered that he had promised during the rally welcoming him to the APC that more people will join the party, urging all to promote peace and support the President and Governor for development.
“When I defected to the APC, I told you that more people are going to come, is that not what we are here to witness today?” Akpanke asked.
“Let us continue to preach the Gospel of peace and tell our people that this is the season of sweetness. Let us continue to encourage our brothers who are still sitting on the fence to join us in APC. Let us join hands with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our Governor, the sweet Prince to make Cross River State, Cross River north, OBO (Obudu/Bekwara/Obanliku) federal constituency great,” he added.
