President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a transaction adviser for the Bakassi deep seaport says Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade.
Mr. Ayade stated this moments ago while receiving investors in the power sector from a consortium of companies led by Mr. Alan Kessler of the African Discovery Group which use a unique Siemens technology where he said that the act is a “classical demonstration of the presidents commitment to the people.”
He said he will like to thank President Buhari “who has graciously approved the transaction adviser for the people of Cross River state for the uptake and take off of the Bakassi Deep Seaport.”
He said the transaction adviser which got 8 ministerial approvals from the federal Ministry of Transport was “a company that I have never met or known in person,” adding that this showed “a classical example of transparency,” in the process.
The Governor said with the approval, “We have gone from the dreaming stage to the reality stage.”
Also, he disclosed that “the preliminary reclamation works will commence in the next two weeks.”
He said the agro revolution embarked upon by his administration, was to ensure that as Cargo comes into the deep seaport, the vessels do not return empty in a bid to attract more investors and create wealth.
