Information reaching CrossRiverWatch suggests that a former minister of environment, Mr. John Omar Odey has died.
Mr. Odey died in the early hours of Sunday in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates where sources say he has been hospitalised for weeks.
Odey, who is also a former minister for information is said to have been battling cancer for a long time but was flown to Dubai when his condition deteriorated.
He was a former national publicity secretary of the People’s Democratic Party. He was also served as a treasurer of the party in Cross River State as well as commissioner for agriculture.
