The National Consensus Group (NCG) otherwise known as Project Nigeria in conjunction with the Citizens’ Advocacy Group, CAG is holding a special national conference of eminent national leaders, key stakeholders and experts on the raging controversy over Bakassi; ceded to Cameroon by a ruling of the International Court of Justice.
Cross River Senator, Bassey Ewa Henshaw representing Cross River South Senatorial District, Hon. Nkoyo Toyo representing Odukpani Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, prominent Cross River Civil Rights Advocate, Barrister Obono Obla are amongst other renown Nigerians billed for the national dialogue which holds on Wednesday, 31st October 2012 at the Lagos Airport Hotels.
In a statement by the conference organizers, the invited speakers have been specially invited as major stakeholders to make interventions and contributions to resolving the very burning issue of Bakassi as it concerns the peoples and citizens of Nigeria.
The confab is expected to be attended by relevant officials and delegations from both the Federal Government and State Governments in Nigeria, Representatives of Nigeria-Cameroon Mixed Commission, Cameroonian Envoy to Nigeria as well as Attorneys and Advocates of Nigeria, Ethnic and Labour Leaders amongst others who will make very pertinent clarifications on the burning issue as it concerns them towards a popular trajectory for preventing the degeneration of the heightening tension and crisis at the Peninsula.
