The two stories submitted by Crossriverwatch for this year’s CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Award have secured approval for judging by CNN administration.

In a mail from the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards Team to the Managing Editor of CrossRiverWatch, the team said: “Your work has now been approved for Judging by CNN Administration for the stories referenced below:

“Title : Disaster Victims Languish in Deprivation While Relief Materials are Diverted

“Title : Obudu Award Gate

“Judging will take place in May 2013 and the finalists announced shortly after”.
The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Competition is the most prestigious and respected Award for journalists across the African Continent.

Its objective is to reinforce the importance of the role of journalists in Africa’s development and to reward, recognize and encourage journalistic talent across all media disciplines.
