Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke has urged Cross Riverians to take full advantage of the opportunities his administration is creating to make money and boost their businesses.
In a statement on his personal Facebook wall today, the governor said: “Retrospectively, taking advantage of the opportunities the government creates is a recurring theme in our discourse and conversations these days. We have at least one significant event in the coming months aside the annual Calabar Festival, for example.
“Majorly the Nigerian Bar Association conference from August 25th to 30th, 2013, will bring at least 10,000 visitors into Calabar. How do the small business owners take advantage of this? How can the government help? If we create the opportunities in reality our people must be able to exploit them”
The governor also encouraged business owners to tap into the spin off effects of the launch of EbonyLife TV in Calabar today: “The launch of Ebony Life channel today has great significance for Studio Tinapa in particular and Tinapa in general; and it is a positive one regardless of how we choose to look at it.
“We expect more interest and more people visiting the state and Studio Tinapa in a tourism context. But most importantly, I want our business people to take advantage of the spin-offs resulting from today’s launch. They must quickly figure out how to feast on these opportunities and make money or boost their businesses”.
