Tinapa business and leisure resort is set to receive the highest number of visitors since its establishment in 2006 with the Nigeria Bar Association Conference holding at the serene resort.
The NBA National Conference which is slated from August 25th to 1st of September has already started creating impact in Calabar, with virtually all the hotels in the metropolis fully booked.
In making Tinapa habitable for the men of the bar from the 36 States and Abuja, the Cross River State government has already released the sum of One Hundred Million Naira to change the obsolete air conditions in the emporiums and Lake-Side Hotels for the comfort of the guests.
It would be recalled that Tinapa-Lake Side Hotel was said to have generated Ninety Nine million Naira for the month of May, 2013 alone which is the highest singular revenue the resort has ever generated within one month.
Already, the Managing Director of Tinapa Resort, Architect Bassey Ndem has commended the governor for his dream to make Tinapa Resort a destination for conferencing and leisure for both organizations and private individuals.
In a release signed by Mr. Paul Eko, Head of Media and Public Affairs of Tinapa Resort, Ndem said the intervention of the government to change the massive air conditioning units, will guarantee comfort and further position the resort strategically within the South South region as a preferred destination of choice.
“It is worth mentioning that a similar intervention by the Governor in the conversion of the resort warehouse to a make-shift conference hall propelled the Tinapa Lake Side Hotel Management to generate N99 Million in one month and is today rated as the best hotel in Calabar and a choice accommodation for both corporate organizations and private individuals who come for conferencing and leisure in Calabar due to its serene environment.” the statement said.
