The management of CRWatch Resources, publishers of CrossRiverWatch have commended the people of Cross River State and the entire reading public for seeing the news portal to two million visitors today.

Since debuting on August 27, 2012 CrossRiverWatch has steadily grown in readership and credibility to become the most trusted and fastest growing media concern in Cross River State with sometimes very controversial stories.

In a brief statement by the Deputy Managing Director of the company, Mr. Charly Ofem, he encouraged the people of Cross River State to keep faith with the fledgling media organization saying the company’s long term vision will eventually liberalize information in the state.

“This is another wonderful moment for us. Steadily we have touched the two million visitors mark! We give all the appreciation to God and of course the people of Cross River State who have come to believe us and keep coming back every day to read what we have gathered. Their regular visits are the only reason we are still publishing. We appreciate it and will always do.

“We urge Cross Riverians to keep faith with us as we strive to continue to bring you the information that authorities will wish you did not get. We have made mistakes as well but on a whole we have remained true to our goal of ensuring that at all times, it is the interest of the generality of the people of Cross River State that underline all our decisions. We have a long term vision that will liberalize information in the state, increase citizen participation in decision making and strengthen the democratic process”.

Mr. Ofem also commended the effort of all the members of the CrossRiverWatch team and the numerous citizen reporters who have continued to feed the portal with incisive and timely reports sometimes at huge risk to their personal comfort.
