Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke has been described as a one of the stabilisers and trail blazers of Nigeria politics in the recent time.

Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal stated this during his address at tan empowerment program organized by Hon. Daniel Asuquo, member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency at the Akamkpa council headquarters.

The Speaker said Imoke has added honor and integrity to the practice of national politics, which should be emulated by every politician.

He commended legislators from Cross River State particularly those in the Federal House of Representatives for their support and disposition on the matters of national importance.

He said: “The way he(Imoke) has been relating to the Cross River Legislature should be emulated by others.

“Let me thank him (Imoke) for working for the interest of Cross River and stabilising Nigeria, my dear compatriot we have a leader in your governor Senator Liyel Imoke, he is certainly one of the finest politicians we have in this country today

“And I can stand anywhere and say this and stand by my words, he has been a stabiliser and influence on so many of us both in Abuja and here in Cross River. I know what he has been doing not only on behalf of the party but on behalf of the people of Nigeria to stabilise the polity. May the good Lord give you good health and long life.” He said.
