Cross River State Governor, Sen. Liyel Imoke has lauded the efforts of Hon. Daniel Asuquo, member of the National Assembly representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency of Cross River for empowering his constituents.

Sen. Imoke who made the commendation at the Annual Empowerment Program of Daniel Asuquo Foundation, DAF held in Akamkpa LGA council compound recently described Daniel as a loyal, truthful, trustworthy and committed fellow that stops at nothing in wiping away the tears of whoever comes his way and is in need.

The governor noted that the benevolence of the 52 years old federal law maker is worthy of emulation urging the beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the empowerment materials. He advised Hon. Asuquo to keep the good work up while praying for more grease to his elbows.

The chairman of the event, Prof. Evara Esu confessed that “Never in my life have I witnessed this type of empowerment”. He posited that the level of generosity portrayed by the young lad is a challenge to others.

Prof. Evara warned that “These things given to you today are to better your life not to worsen it, what makes it worthwhile is how you cherish the little you’ve gotten and build on it. He has given you what he can but what you make out of it is your entire business, my compatriots may Daniel leave long”.

Hon. Daniel Asuquo also known as Dansuki while speaking described the empowerment as his own way of saying thank you for the trust and opportunity given to him to serve his people.

“Today I’ve come once again to give back to you my people just as I’ve always done, remember you gave me yesterday which I owe you and will always remain grateful to you”, he said.

Dansuki maintained that whatever he has given today is just a tip of the ice berg, adding that “In due cause you’ll see and feel more but make good use of this opportunity and be rest assured that today is your turn tomorrow will be someone else’s”.

Maintaining that “For me giving is a lifestyle, we believe in education; formal and informal, the journey towards having a better Akamkpa/Biase constituency, Cross River State and Nigeria at large starts now with a step”.
Revealing that, “Some time ago I promised that the four communities in my constituency that will give me the highest vote will be faithfully rewarded, today I will split within those communities the sum of 1.5 million naira”.
