The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin has approved the redeployment of 75 senior officers to man various command and staff appointments.
The exercise involved 29 Rear Admirals, 28 Commodores and 18 Captains.
Rear Admiral Peter Akomaye Agba from Bedia Village in Obudu LGA of Cross River State has been appointed as the new Flag Officer Commanding, FOC, Central Naval Command with headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Until his appointment, Rear Admiral Agba was the Admiral Superintendent, Naval Doctrine and Assessment Centre, Bonny Camp, Lagos. He has previously commanded several sensitive naval formations including NNS Beecroft and NNS Delta.
Another Cross Riverian, Rear Admiral E.O Ogbor, formerly Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters has also been redeployed as the new Chief of Administration, Defence Headquarters.
