The people of Okwa Community in Buantsebe Ward of Boki Local Government Council have been assured that they remain an integral part of the Council Area.

The Chairman of Boki LGA, Hon Abubakar Ewa gave the assurance at the weekend while inaugurating a primary health center at Okwa 11 recently.

The Council boos regretted that the Okwa Community has suffered neglect and abandonment since the beginning of this democratic dispensation, but assured them of his administration’s determination to change that history for good.

He pledged to establish a cassava processing industry for the Okwa women to enable them promote food sufficiency and guarantee food security.

In a welcome remark by the Okwa community leader, Chief B. Enyia, the community commended Hon. Ewa for being the first Boki Council chairman to visit Okwa since the return of Democracy in 1999.
