The Cross River State governor, Senator Liyel Imoke has described the bomb explosion in Nyanya, the Federal Capital Territory as an absolute tragedy and called on God to intervene and save our country Nigeria.

Imoke who an aide said was deeply saddened on hearing the news of the explosion this morning, in an update on his Facebook timeline said: “Absolute tragedy with innocent lives lost in Abuja for no just cause. Please, God, intervene to save our country.”

A massive bomb exploded this morning around 6:45am during the usual rush hour at the ever busy Nyanya bus park killing over 200 people and leaving several others injured with properties worth millions of Naira destroyed.

No group has yet taken responsibility for the dastardly act.
