Actors Guild of Nigeria Honors Imoke, Others at ‘Cross of Decision’ Launching

His Excellency, the executive governor of Cross River State, Sen. Liyel Imoke has been honored for his fight against cultism in the state by the Actors Guild Of Nigeria, AGN Enugu State Chapter in Collaboration with Debbies Entertainment.

Imoke was honored alongside the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Secretary, Mr. Godwin Ettah, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, Prof. James Epoke and Prof. Ubi Iwara, a lecturer in UNICAL.

They four were honored in Calabar during the lunch of ‘Cross of Decision’, a movie on the dangers of cultism written and produced by Debbies Entertainment Production.

The Cross River governor, Sen. Imoke acknowledged the team behind the movie describing it as a noteworthy achievement that has come to help fight the menace of cultism.

He said: “I must state unequivocally that I am happy with the contribution of our brother Debra Rich for stating in his film the potential danger of cultism in our institutions of learning which is the microcosm of our entire society, where cultism thrives there is always the destruction of lives and properties”.

The governor noted that the end point of the cult clashes always short live the activities of affected institutions maintaining that “It is in this regards that I find today’s occasion fulfilling of our stride to fully get our youths to understand the dangers of cultism and the dear need to resist its temptations”.

Sen. Imoke who was represented by his Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Patrick Ugbe commended his AGN and Debbie Entertainment and beckoned on all and sundry to join hands in the fight against cultism in their diverse field just as done by Mr. Debra Rich through his movies world.

Earlier, the Chief launcher, Hon. Paul Adah, the Commissioner representing Cross River State on the Board of Niger Delta Development Corporation, NDDC, said the approach adopted by Debra Rich is a veritable one worthy of commendation praying for more grease to his elbows.

He also observed that any conscious mind after watching the movie will be moved to take a stand either to follow the bandwagon or chastise it.

The Chief Executive Officer of Debbies Entertainment Production, Mr. Debra Rich earlier said the movie ‘Cross of Decision’ is a project he embarked upon to support the society with the best weapon in his possession to help curb and expose the dirty side of cultism. He maintained that he will never stop crusading for change which he insist is constant.

The saw the special appearance of some top Nigerian movie industry stars like Chief Chiwetalu Agu, Chief Bruno Iwoha, Mrs. Camila Mbrekpe and Mr. Stanley Kingsley, the AGN President of Enugu.
