Obono Obla Makes APC National Convention Planning Committee

The Interim National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress APC has appointed Cross River lawyer and activist, Barrister Obono Obla as a member of the APC National Convention Planning Committee with the Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliyu Wamako as Chairman and Senator Chris Ngige as Secretary.

Mr. Obla is one of the representatives of the South South geo political zone in the planning committee. The other South South Rep is the Secretary to the Edo State government, Professor Julius Ihonvbere.

Other members of the Committee include, Alhaji Garba Gadi; Senator Aisha Alhassan ; Ambassador Sule Buba; Senator Hadi Serika; Mrs. Bisi Shofowule; Mr. Rotimi Fashakin; Hon. Innocent Chime; Senator Joseph Waku; Mr. Nyanachi and Suleiman Kuwo.

The National Convention of the APC is scheduled for the 13th and 14th of June, 2014 in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

This development is coming against the background of mounting allegations against Chief Obla by some of his party men that he collected huge sums of money from the Government of Cross River State to hand over the structures of APC in the State to the ruling PDP.
