Cross River Veteran Journalist, Jude Okwe Bows To Death

Cross River veteran journalist and Thisday newspaper correspondent in Calabar Mr. Jude Okwe who has been having a protracted heart disease has finally bowed to the cold hands of death CrossRiverWatch can authoritatively report.

CrossRiverWatch gathered that his situation deteriorated early this morning and he was rushed to Goldie hospital where he died after about three hours ago. His body is now deposited at the UCTH morgue.

Okwe who was also one of CrossRiverWatch reporters, after a series of tests at Echo-Scan Heart Center and Heartland Cardiovascular Consultants in Abuja, was said to be having an enlarged heart. He was referred to these places for test by Primus Inter Specialty Hospital, Karu, Abuja.

Several individuals had donated to help him get medical assistance oversea before his eventual demise today after showing signs of recovery over the past months.

Ah! Jude Okwe why so soon… calm as you were… i met you once and with easy we kept talking and did publications together and you assisted me in some on ThisDay while i was carrying out publicity for an organisation. Jude, if i could turn the hands of dead just to say how much i’m forever in debted to you.

Jude owke, arguably the most consistent correspondent from cross river origin was a man with character and substance.His passion and commitment to his duties and then his indepth knowledge about the inner workings cross river politics endeared him to many. He would be greatly missed.it is a such a painful loss to his family and the entire cross river state.May his soul find repose in the Lord’s vineyard

Oh death why Jude Okwe,i knew him after NYSC service year 2008, Jude Okwe is down to earth kind of person,he takes everybody as brothers he never discriminate,he can give out his last kobo to make sure his friend is happy,he accomodate,feed and sponsor/trained the homeless and orphans, I implored his comrades not to leave his children alone but to support them to complete their education. Mr Okwe a hybridized journalist,an alumi of UNIJOS,LOVER OF ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB,A peace maker,a philanthropist, I recall when he gave my friend Soji Adeyemi fifty thousand naira #50,000 when he loss his father,i also recall how i told him im preparing my traveling document he gave me forty thousand naira #40,000,.HIS advise worth one milion,I PRAY THAT GOD SHOULD REWARD HIS CHILDREN, ORIGI,OBEI,ANIYE,ENDURANCE, ACHUI,REGINA Smalli,THANKGOD.who complete their academics? now as you are gone too early.MR JUDE OKWE RIP.
