A leading gubernatorial aspirant of APC Mr. Odey Ochicha has begun consultations in his bid to succeed Governor Liyel Imoke in 2015.
Ochicha whose first point of call was in the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Bekwarra LGA, expressed his desire and readiness to succeed Sen. Liyel Imoke in 2015 stating that he had been preparing himself for the job for the past 29 years.
He explained that the Paramount Ruler was his first point of call because of the saying that “charity begins at home” and so he has come to inform his people of his desire to take over at Peregrino House in 2015.
The obviously elated monarch who was in company of his clan heads described Odey as a worthy son of the land and expressed his joy over Ochicha’s decision to throw his hat into the ring come 2015 and said he would have been disappointed if he didn’t.
“I would have been very disappointed if with all this your intelligence and philanthropic nature you didn’t present yourself for an elective position but thank God you have done that and God will see you through.”
The paramount ruler requested one of his elders to pray for Odey according to the custom of the land and assured him of the support of the entire Bekwarra people.
OdeyOchicha in a chat with our correspondent promised to consult beyond party lines stating that his, is a political movement that is all encompassing.
“Mine is a political movement and so every leader, opinion molder, youth, woman will be consulted including PDP members .“
