A caucus member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Obudu Local Government, Mr. Tom Ashue, was yesterday seen by our reporter distributing a bunch of the Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) to residents at Port Harcourt Street, Obudu.

According to our reporter, Mr. Ashue was bragging about how he gave money to the electoral officials at the local government who handed him the cards for onward distribution to the owners.

Some of the cards were also said to belong to deceased voters but Mr. Ashue held on to them saying he will think of what to do with them or how to put them to use.

When CrossRiverWatch contacted INEC in Calabar, an official who did not want to be named said the commission will investigation the discovery and take appropriate action while assuring Cross Riverians that it will be almost impossible for anyone to use the PVC if you are not the rightful owner.
