Calabar, the Capital city of Cross River State experienced a heavy down pour today.
The rain which lasted from the hour 7.00am to about 1.00pm and then from 3.00pm to about 5.00pm flooded some major streets in Calabar causing traffic grid in almost all the accessible streets of the city.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that the rain flooded streets such as MCC, Goldie, Target, Orok Orok, Archibong Iso, Marian road, Egerton and the environs, among others.
As at the time of this report, there was no reported case of the rain causing any damage to personal property, buildings or communication installations, among others.
Calabar, the Cross River Capital has consistently experienced heavy down pour of rain this year, leading to flooding of many access streets and destruction of property, among others.
It could be recalled that last year, some lives were lost to the rains and property worth several millions destroyed by the ravaging down pour.
