One of Cross River’s foremost tours operating company, NovaRosta Ltd is to launch a 76 seater, London-style-double-decker tour bus in Calabar, considered the first of its kind in the West African region.
Ahead of the launch in October, this year in Cross River’s capital city, Calabar, NovaRosta Ltd has begun identifying and developing tour routes, attractions and sites to facilitate the operations that the bus tagged the ‘NovaRosta DD’ tours’ would cover when fully set to operate.
The routes the bus would have to cover when launched would include Cross River’s historic and educational sites like Hope Waddell Training Institute, Old Residency Museum, Marina Resort and Slave Museum, The Calabar Hand Park, The Cenotaphs, Millennium Park, Calabar Prisons gate/State Library, Mary Slessor Avenue, University of Calabar, among others identified for the double decker tour activities the bus would maintain after its debut.
According to the CEO of NovaRosta Ltd, Mrs. Geraldine Itoe, the new double decker tour bus is to be introduced to take advantage of the existing gaps in the local sightseeing tour market capturing, a significant portion of the market in Calabar and across the country.
In her words “This new double decker tour product was introduced to take advantage of the existing gaps in our local sightseeing tour market and is expected to capture a significant portion of the market in Calabar and subsequently across the country.
“NovaRosta Double Decker Tours has a mission to provide safe, reliable and fun sightseeing tours to visitors and residents of Calabar, using the new London-style-double-decker tour bus and we will provide sightseeing tours, mobile advertising and charter services within the city of Calabar,” she added.
Also speaking the Operations Manager of the tour and leisure operation company, Mr. Peterkins Itoe added “The vision for the bus is to contribute to the tourism sector in Cross River State and Nigeria as a whole. We the NovaRosta Company have been in the tourism sector and we have seen that they are different kinds of challenges the sector has faced and we thought how can we contribute to tourism in Nigeria as a whole and that’s where the vision for the bus came, to do something, that’s going to be like a ground breaking achievement for the Nigerian tourism.”
Located at Tinapa, Calabar, the NovaRosta Company remains foremost in the state travel and leisure venture offering services in areas like events, destinations, adventure and lifestyle.
When launched the ‘NovaRosta DD’ tours’ shall also have significant impact on the entertainment and leisure market in Nigeria.
