Mr. Emmanuel Ibeshi yesterday fulfilled his promise to pick the nomination form to run for the Cross River State governorship in 2015.
He arrived the Wadata Plaza national headquarters of the party at about 2pm in company of supporters who accompanied him to pick the form.
The former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, while speaking with journalists after picking his form said his entry into the Cross River governorship race is premised on the need to consolidate on the achievements of the successive PDP administration and provide the leverage much needed to launch the socio-economy of the state on a higher pedestal.
The party’s National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Mustafa Abubakar described him as brilliant and eloquent and his ambition, ” heartwarming.”
Mr. Ibeshi is one of the aspirants who have disagreed with the party at the state level on the method that was used to eliminate them from the race in preference for five other aspirants who the party say came tops after the screening by caucuses in the 18 local councils of the state.
