Following the resignation of the former Secretary to Cross River State Government, Mr. Mike Aniah to pursue his 2015 governorship aspiration to Peregrino House, a new Secretary to the State Government Dr. Thomas Ogar, has been appointed by the Governor of the state, Senator Liyel Imoke

Until his new appointment, Dr. Thomas Ogar who hails from Bekwarra Local Government of the state was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Due Process and Price Intelligence, Governor’s office, Calabar.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Ita disclosed that the appointment takes immediate effect.

Before his appointment by Senator Liyel Imoke in 2007, Dr. Thomas Ogar was a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, University of Calabar. He is married with children.
